In the Photography Gallery of Photo Club Split, on Friday, 5 June at 8 PM, the exhibition “A Place Under the Sun” will be officially opened, presenting works by first-year students of Communication and Media Studies at the University of Split.

The exhibition is the result of work produced within the course Visual Expression. As stated in the exhibition foreword by mentor Darko Škrobonja, during the spring semester of the 2025/2026 academic year, students produced a large number of photographic works which were then, through consultations and mentorship, selected and shaped into separate units, i.e., photographic series. This working process enabled students not only to develop an individual visual language, but also to understand photography as a medium that goes beyond its documentary function and becomes a means of interpreting space, atmosphere, and personal experience.

The course is led by Prof. Dr. sc. Viktorija Car, and the project mentor is Darko Škrobonja, visiting lecturer.
