AMART proudly presents a solo exhibition by the renowned Italian painter Alberto Di Fabio entitled Lights of Existence. The very title of the exhibition reflects the central theme of Di Fabio’s oeuvre on display: light as a symbol of life, energy, and spiritual connection. Through his works, the artist explores how light permeates both the material and immaterial world, revealing the inner and outer dimensions of existence. The lights on his canvases are not merely a visual experience, but also open a space for contemplation and introspective reflection on our connection with the universe and our own inner energy. His works go beyond visual beauty, establishing a deep dialogue between the inner and outer world, exploring invisible energies that shape our reality.

Di Fabio draws inspiration from diverse artistic languages and scientific disciplines such as quantum physics, neuroscience, astronomy, and biology. He names his painting cycles after concepts taken from these fields and transforms them into a unique visual language. In doing so, his works create bridges between seemingly separate worlds — art and science, earthly and otherworldly life, the material and the immaterial. The artist’s goal is to guide the viewer toward gradually abandoning self-awareness, creating a kind of journey through parallel worlds distant in space and time, where the mind reconnects with the astral dimension.

This exhibition holds great significance for the Croatian cultural scene, as it marks the first solo exhibition of Alberto Di Fabio in Croatia. It not only opens the door to the unique world of one of the most important contemporary Italian artists but also offers new perspectives on the role of spirituality, science, and art in our local context.

Di Fabio has taken part in numerous solo and group exhibitions at prestigious museums and institutions, including: Museo della Montagna in Turin (2024), Triennale Milano (2023), Fondazione Bullukian in Lyon (2019), Reale Accademia di Spagna in Rome (2017), Palazzo dei Diamanti in Ferrara (2016), Museo Macro in Rome and MART in Rovereto (2015), CERN in Geneva (2014), Estorick Collection in London (2013), Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea in Rome (2012), Magazin 4 – Kunstverein Bregenz in Austria (1997), and Rupertinum in Salzburg (1996). His works are part of numerous private and public collections, and his art continues to attract the interest of critics and audiences across Europe and worldwide.
