The Croatian silent film “Birtija”, with a live performance of original music composed by LHD, produced by the School of Public Health Andrija Štampar in the early 20th century, has been digitally restored by the Croatian Cinematheque of the Croatian State Archives. The film portrays alcoholism and its impact on the individual, the family, and the community – a theme that, although set in the 1920s when the film was made, remains highly relevant today.

Adding a special dimension to the screening, the band LHD enriches the film’s dramaturgy with their original music, bridging the distance between the time of its creation and the present day with their distinctive artistic signature.
