EXHIBITION “YOUTH EXHIBIT: TEA TRUMBIĆ”
Location: Info zona (Jerina 1)
Time: May 23 – June 3, 2026, opening at 7:00 PM
An exhibition in Zona that gives music a new life
The third exhibition in the eleventh cycle of “Youth Exhibit” at Zona will be opened by Tea Trumbić. The opening will take place on Saturday, May 23 at 7:00 PM, and the exhibition will be on display until June 3. The opening program will include a themed workshop and a conversation with the artist.
A life situation in which her father was unable to recall that he had composed the instrumental piece “Jadranska jedra” inspired the artist to give new life to his composition through a series of linocuts and animation. In this way, the exhibition speaks about dementia, forgetting, and the complete detachment of a person from something that was once an inseparable part of their identity. In addition to the exhibited works and the talk, the artist will also present herself through a workshop in which participants will learn how to bring their own drawings to life by creating a short animation - announces Blaženka Miše, curator of the exhibition.
Tea Trumbić was born in 1995. She graduated from the School of Fine Arts in Split and the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Zagreb. She is a recipient of the Rector’s Award and has participated in several group exhibitions and film festivals. Through the media of drawing, video, and animation, she explores themes of memory, time, transience, the search for meaning, and separation.
