PLACe market Split is part of a national cultural and tourism revitalization project that brings traditional city markets back to the center of urban life through the contemporary concept of a night market.

As part of the project, markets — often referred to as the “belly of the city” — transform once a week into open-air social and cultural spaces where gastronomy, local products, entertainment, and community come together. The concept of “farm to table” becomes an experience of “field to street food,” featuring local chefs, producers, and street performers.

The project combines cultural, gastronomic, wine, and entertainment experiences while promoting the preservation of local culinary traditions and strengthening the identity of Croatian regions. At the same time, it contributes to positioning Croatia as a recognizable gastronomic destination within the global “night market” concept.

In 2026, PLACe market in Split will take place every Saturday from May 16 to June 27 (except June 13), in front of Peškarija Split.

This year once again, visitors can look forward to an evening blend of local food, seasonal products, music, social gatherings, and a relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere in the heart of the city — where the market becomes a unique place to experience Split in a different way.
