For more than twenty years, the Tourism Culture Showcase has brought together children and young people, their teachers and mentors, cultural and educational institutions, experts and artists with the aim of discovering, preserving and presenting their local heritage.

This year’s theme, “The Heritage of My Homeland – A Unique Gem of Our Country,” will bring around one hundred young participants, mentors and collaborators to Split. This year, the Showcase is also gaining an international dimension for the first time. Alongside participants from Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, young participants from Spain and France will join the programme and present the heritage of their respective regions.

Through children’s and students’ creative projects, exhibitions, professional gatherings and cultural and artistic programmes, the Showcase brings together education, culture, art, tourism and the local community, encouraging young people to discover and appreciate cultural and natural heritage.

Friday, 25 September - Marko Marulić City Library (Ulica slobode 2)

• 15:30 – Interdisciplinary Professional Conference
  County Expert Council for Civic Education
  Topic: “Heritage and Local Development: Valuing Cultural Identity through Civic Education”
  
  
• 19:00 – Official Opening Ceremony
  Exhibition of children’s artwork by Radost Kindergarten – Veseli patuljci Branch (Split), Marjan Kindergarten – Koralj Branch (Split) and Bukovac Kindergarten (Zagreb).
  Special guests: Klapa Merla, winners of the 2026 Omiš Festival.
