Sailing Club Split will host another national championship in fleet racing for the Optimist class (U16).

The Open Croatian Championship in Fleet Racing for the Optimist Class will take place from September 4 to 7, 2025, in Split, organized by Sailing Club Split. After a one-year break, young sailors are returning to the northern side of Marjan, to a club with a long tradition and proven experience in organizing major sailing competitions.

A record number of participants is expected at the national championship – as many as 161 sailors from 29 Croatian clubs. The program begins on Wednesday with registration and equipment inspection, while races are scheduled from Thursday to Sunday in Kaštela Bay and off the island of Čiovo.
