The event is held as part of the “Spli'ski litnji koluri” programme.

Dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Croatian cultural heritage, the event presents a rich programme of traditional customs, music and folklore. Since 2016, it has brought together guardians of intangible cultural heritage – klapa and traditional folk singers, cultural and artistic associations, traditional instrumentalists, as well as numerous amateur and professional artists.

17 September 2026, Thursday: USKOČKA SVIJEĆA (THE USKOK CANDLE)

This ambient theatre performance follows the story of the Uskok hero Miloš Parižević, who fights for freedom, his homeland and the hand of the woman he loves. He transforms his victory into a votive candle dedicated to the Virgin Mary.

The performance is set in 1527, during the conflicts between the Uskoks and the Ottomans, and presents scenes inspired by Croatian history.

The performance features actors Petra Krolo, Lea Talia Meić and Marko Gulin, with the musical accompaniment of Miki Nopling (guitar and vocals), Prof. Ivan Cinotti (guitar and mandolin), Josipa Kordić (violin), Alen Đurašinović (percussion) and Mika Štajner (solo vocalist).

The performance will also feature the Klis Uskoks historical unit.

18 September 2026, Friday: GLAZBENA PROMENADA LIJEPOM NAŠOM (A MUSICAL PROMENADE THROUGH CROATIA)

Through their music, the performers will present a cross-section of Croatian traditional and folk music, taking the audience on a journey through different regions of Croatia, from Međimurje and Posavina to the Dalmatian hinterland, Istria and other Croatian regions.

Performers: Stefan Kokoškov (tenor), Danira Ipavec (accordion and piano) and Mario Markovina (mandolin).
