Location: Small Stage, Youth Center (Ulica Slobode 28)

Dates: February 13–21, 2026

The second residency program, Corvus Obscura, will take place from February 13 to 21, 2026, during which Cirkus Kolektiv in Split will host artists Petra Najman and Ivan Svaguša.

A public presentation of the work in progress will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 6:00 PM on the Small Stage of the Youth Center, followed by a conversation with the artists.

About the performance: Corvus Obscura combines contemporary circus, physical theatre, trapeze, experimental music, and live digital drawing. The performance explores the relationship between body, space, light, and darkness through a minimalist stage design and real-time visual projections.

About the artists: Petra Najman (b. 1999, Zagreb) has been professionally engaged in circus since the age of 12. She studied in France and Italy, specializing in static trapeze, and has participated in numerous circus and interdisciplinary projects across Europe. She is the author of the solo project My Death and Me and the contemporary circus performance Vrana bez gnijezda (in collaboration with Ivan Svaguša).

Ivan Svaguša (b. 1982, Split) graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts. He is an author of comics, graphics, and multimedia performances and conducts visual arts workshops in Split. Through visual and sound media, he experiments with contemporary circus, physical theatre, and dance. His collaboration with Petra Najman integrates visual design, music, and movement.

The residency is part of the annual Cirkus Kolektiv “Artist in Residence” program, which provides support for artists in creating new performances and develops the local contemporary circus scene.Admission is free.
