Gennaro Ascione, one of the founders of the Napoli Segreta collective, returns to Split with his new hit book, Napoli Balla. The book traces the city’s music subcultures from the 1970s to today, moving through nightclubs, discos, and garages, under secret doors in basements or hidden buildings. Naples, the Mediterranean city in motion—mysterious and elusive, with roots in Black Africa, a heart in the Atlantic, and a gaze always oriented toward global currents.

We are hosting the book talk in the familiar setting of Klub Kocka during our club night – SpalatoNapoli BALLA! Gennaro brings along the rising DJ star Sexy Pummarola, who blends the Neapolitan sound with global hi-NRG, cosmic sounds, and Italo-disco rhythms and vocals. We have no doubt that this energetic and unique “Pomidorica” will bring passion and energy to Klub Kocka. Supporting the night is our KLFM Soundsystem collective, which traditionally offers a music selection without genre boundaries.
