HORROR AT YOUTH CENTER

HORROR AT YOUTH CENTER

Location: Beton Kino, Dom mladih (Ulica slobode 28)

Date: July 16 – August 27, 2025

The Horror at the Dom series is dedicated to the bloodiest genre in film history — a genre widely consumed for its high output of cheap thrills. Screams, gallons of blood, and chilling chases reliably deliver a quick and effective rush to viewers. But what happens when we discover unexpected depth, creativity, and artistic value within these films?

Genre expert, film analyst, and lecturer Erik Lončar has selected six titles — from classics that changed the face of horror to lesser-known masterpieces — which he will revisit or reveal from a new perspective. The cycle opens with a lecture on the genre on July 16 at 7:30 p.m. at Beton Kino, followed by six weekly screenings on Wednesdays, each accompanied by an interactive analysis after the film.

Erik’s analyses have gained cult status and a dedicated following. Join us in uncovering the surprising layers of this seemingly shallow and transparent genre. This program is for everyone — from curious newcomers to those eager to dive deeper into horror.

Admission to the lecture and screenings is free.
