Ana Domančić, flute & Mirjam Lučev-Debanić, harp

The intertwining of the two ethereal tones of the flute and harp, a fusion of two principles known since antiquity – the wooden, wind-based, associated with the Dionysian cult, and the string-plucking, symbolizing Apollonian order, has reached one of the most distinctive expressions in the music of several French composers.

They blended a certain elusive, impressionistic thread of French musical tradition with the particularly developed tradition of woodwind instruments. Flutist Ana Domančić, in collaboration with harpist Mirjam Lučev, has delved deeply into the exploration of this unique repertoire, presenting works from classical to contemporary - by Henri Büsser, Joseph Jongen, Aubert Lemeland, and Jean-Michel Damase, complemented by a composition from the Romantic flutist virtuoso Franz Doppler and a piece by Croatian composer Zvonimir Marković.
