The Days of Classical Guitar is an international festival bringing together concerts by outstanding artists, lectures and presentations of Croatian musical works for guitar, as well as seminars and workshops for young musicians, aimed at helping them develop their skills and achieve excellence in both performance and artistic expression.

To date, 12 editions of the festival have been held, featuring a total of 56 concerts and attracting more than 8,000 visitors, making it currently the longest-running and most attended guitar festival in Croatia. The festival has welcomed numerous renowned Croatian and international artists, including Ana Vidović, Aniello Desiderio, Zoran Dukić, Pavel Steidl, Petrit Çeku, Rafael Aguirre, Giampaolo Bandini, Juan Carlos Romero, Srđan Bulat, Petar Čulić, Sevilla Guitar Duo, Zagreb Guitar Quartet, Split Guitar Quartet, Elogio Guitar Trio, Evocación Guitar Trio, Amira Medunjanin and Boško Jović, among many others. For some of these artists, performing at the Days of Classical Guitar marked their very first appearance in Croatia.

It is particularly worth noting that the festival continued in its full format even during the COVID-19 pandemic. As part of the landmark 10th edition, held in November 2022, Split hosted its first flamenco concert in more than 12 years. During the 11th edition, Concierto de Aranjuez was performed on the main stage of the Croatian National Theatre in Split, marking the first time this work had ever been performed at a guitar festival in Croatia.

The festival holds the prestigious EFFE Label, awarded by the European Festivals Association (EFA) to European festivals that promote the highest artistic values and make a significant contribution to their local communities. It also received the Music Festival of the Year 2023 award from Prestige Awards magazine.
