The Split Sailing Festival brings together five regattas held in Split and the islands of Central Dalmatia throughout September and October. The programme features competitions for different categories of sailors, from the youngest competitors in the Optimist class to traditional and major offshore regattas.

19–20 September 2026 - Labud Classic

Location: Split – Bobovišća (island of Brač) – Split

Labud Classic is a regatta for sailing boats over 30 years old, also known as the “Bobovišća Oldtimer Regatta”. It brings together traditional, mostly wooden sailing boats and promotes the rich sailing and maritime heritage of the Adriatic.

25–27 September 2026 - Mrduja Optimist Cup

Location: Split

The Mrduja Optimist Cup, also known as “Mala Mrduja”, is one of the most important regattas for the youngest sailors in the Optimist class. The regatta has been held for 23 years and brings together more than 100 young sailors.

3 October 2026 - 95th Mrduja Regatta

Location: Split – islet of Mrduja – Sustipan, Split

The Mrduja Regatta is the oldest and largest regatta on the Croatian side of the Adriatic and one of the oldest in Europe. Held since 1927, it attracts a large number of sailing boats and sailors from Croatia and abroad every year.

9–10 October 2026 - Startup Europe Regatta

Location: Split and the waters around Split

The Startup Europe Regatta brings together the worlds of sailing, innovation, technology and entrepreneurship. The two-day programme includes sailing in the waters around Split as well as accompanying events on Split’s Riva waterfront.

16–18 October 2026 - 82nd Vis Regatta

Location: Split – Vis – Split

The Vis Regatta is one of Croatia’s best-known offshore sailing races. It starts in front of Split Harbour, with the first leg finishing in the town of Vis, while the second leg is sailed back to Split. The regatta traditionally attracts numerous sailors from Croatia and other European countries.

The Split Sailing Festival is organised by Labud Sailing Club.
