FESTIVAL PLANET DOM - FESTIVAL OF PROGRESSIVE AND CONTEMPORARY CULTURE
Location: Dom mladih Split (Ulica slobode 28)
Date: November 21 - 24, 2024
Planet Dom, a festival of progressive and contemporary culture, will take place at Dom mladih in Split from November 21 to 24. Organized by the Multimedia Cultural Center in partnership with Platform Dom mladih and Youth Association Coalition (KUM), with support from the City of Split, the festival will feature a wide range of artistic forms, including musical and interdisciplinary performances, club nights, video screenings, workshops, and exhibitions.
This year's music program includes performances by prominent artists such as Dimitrije Dimitrijević, TBF, Artan Lili, and the Split duo Banana Zvuk. DJ sets by Andy Smith and Kittin, performing in Croatia for the first time, will also provide a unique musical experience.
The performance program will bring circus, dance, and performative acts, such as Konstrukt produced by Cirkus Kolektiv, and a live cinema performance by France's Metamkine. The "On Split Ground" film program will showcase short films from the Split region, while a diverse range of children’s workshops will include beatboxing, dance improvisation, and home composting.
A panel discussion titled "Who Needs This?" will explore the role of alternative cultural spaces, while the Gitarijada and a condensed edition of the storytelling festival Pričigin will add further richness to the lineup. Multimedia artist Neli Ružić will present her light installation Too Late to Quit on the façade of Dom mladih, highlighting resilience in these uncertain times.
Admission is free to all events, except concerts and DJ sets, for which tickets are available via Adriaticket.
