From May 14 to  June 14, 2025, the eighth edition of the event Split 3 – Streets, Neighborhoods, Residents will take place under the title Color and Form. This year, the focus of the event is on bringing together data and drawings related to Split 3, with a special emphasis on visual impressions and expressions, as well as documenting the current state of Sveučilišna Street through the works of students from the Academy of Fine Arts in Split. Through paintings, drawings, colors, lines, and conservation documentation, students will present their research and observations of the area.

One of the key goals of the event is to reconstruct the original polychromy of Ruđera Boškovića Street in order to preserve its authentic colors, reminding us that they reflect the space and time in which they were created. In collaboration with students from the Department of Art Education and Fine Arts, and the Department of Conservation and Restoration of the Academy of Fine Arts in Split, under the mentorship of Assistant Professors Lana Stojićević and Nikola Radošević, and art graduate Krešimir Bosnić, the research continues on the essential characteristics of Split 3’s streets, with particular focus on Ruđera Boškovića Street.

The students and mentors have already analyzed the façades—exploring their colors, tones, structures, and wall compositions. They have also conducted walks and spent time in Ruđera Boškovića Street and researched archival materials on polychromy projects of several Split 3 streets. Work is currently underway on the collected material using various techniques and tools from the fields of visual art and conservation.
