(From the foreword, Žarko Paić): "In the latest work “Brilliant Self-Portrait DM,” we are dealing with a light-and-sound installation that also calls into question the concept of a video installation. It presents the artist in low resolution, with his face placed high in the space and necessarily enlarged. As the author further explains, the pixels composing his face are in fact yellow traffic lights. However, the work becomes even more intriguing as various thoughts of leading authorities of contemporary art and philosophy are spoken through his mouth, such as Nam June Paik, F.T. Marinetti, Tristan Tzara, Marcel Duchamp, Jean-Luc Godard, Andy Warhol, John Cage, Giorgio Agamben, and others."
