Join us for the opening of the exhibition “Energy Reservoirs” by Mihael Frančić and Manuela Pauk, “Energy Tanks”, which will open on Tuesday, 2.9. at 8:00 PM in Prostor. The exhibition remains of view until September 26th, Mon-Fri 10am - 7pm.

The exhibition “Energy Reservoirs” presents and connects the works of Mihael Frančić “Empire” and Manuele Pauk “Hecate’s Deposits” into a new whole that tells the story of the driving and destructive energy of nature - but also that of society; its sources, cycles and transformations that arise in the process. Frančić’s work, made of organic material - coffee - refers to changes in the urban fabric that have occurred under the influence of megalomaniac impulses, and continues his practice of questioning capitalism and its impact on our lives. Manuela’s works were produced for this exhibition and are inspired by the energy forces that drive the world. Referring to Hecate, the Greek goddess of the underworld, these works speak of the energy that moves the world, from the geological depths to the surface; of transitions and transformations, conflicts and calms, of life and death that are constantly intertwined.

Manuela Pauk (Zagreb, 1994) received her MA in sculpture from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in the class of Prof. Peruško Bogdanić. In her work, she explores the relationship between civilization and nature. She has exhibited in Croatia, Romania, Serbia and Portugal. She won second prize at the Zadar Youth Salon (2024), and was a finalist for the Split Salon Award (2018) and the Golden Watermelon Award (2022 and 2024). Mihael Frančić (Split, 1998) received his MA in painting from the Academy of Arts in Split in 2023, in the class of Prof. Viktor Popović and Prof. Neli Ružić. He has held several solo exhibitions (Premieres 77 at Loggia, Zona Club, Galum, Kortil, Šira and Waldinger, KVART) and has participated in numerous group student exhibitions.
