Exploring rhythms and movement for everyone

Cirkus Kolektiv, as part of the Outdoor Art Lab 2025 program, brings a new interesting workshop - a movement workshop in public space called "Ways of crossing". The workshop will take place on Saturday, April 5 at 11 AM, and the venue is the Silver Gate of Diocletian's Palace.

This workshop is an opportunity to experiment in the urban environment through physicality and movement. Open to everyone, from dancers to passers-by, this workshop invites you to turn everyday gestures into poetic ones. Through observation and play with the rhythms of movement, participants will explore how we occupy space, communicate with our surroundings and connect with others. How do we approach and inhabit space? What energy does it contain?

With improvisation and unexpected rhythms, the goal is to shake neglected corners, coming into contact with the environment and people around us in new ways. The workshop is free, and the recommended donation is €10.

About the presenter: Tilla Giro has a master's degree in law, but her passion for culture led her to the world of art. She worked as a producer at the cultural center Les Rotondes in Luxembourg and later studied fine arts in Saarbrücken and Milan, focusing on the social aspect of art. Tilla's artistic work has a special mission - connecting people and creating bridges through art in public spaces, exploring new ways of living in cities and inviting to slow down and create new experiences together.

The program of the association Cirkus Kolektiv called Outdoor Art Lab 2025 opens the doors to all artists and collectives involved in contemporary circus, outdoor art or related disciplines, who want to engage in site-specific research and creation in the open air, reimagining Split's public spaces as places of connection and creativity. The program is realized with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia, the City of Split and Culture Moves Europe, a project financed by the European Union.
