The exhibition A Hero in War, Croatian Pride in Peace – Major Joško Kapetanović is the fifth in the series Heroes in War – Croatian Pride in Peace, dedicated to the heroes of the Homeland War who gave their lives for their homeland. An accompanying catalogue of the same title has also been published, providing an overview of Joško Kapetanović’s wartime service and featuring authentic photographs and a catalogue of items donated by the Kapetanović family.

Joško Kapetanović’s wartime service and his contribution to the Homeland War have been reconstructed using official documentation from the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of the Interior, academic literature, memoirs and testimonies from his fellow soldiers.
