Date: October 10 - 11, 2026

Location: Mosor Mountain, Split

The Croatian Mountaineering Society “Mosor” is once again organising Children’s Mountaineering Camp Mosor, intended for children of all ages. Participation is free of charge, with around 150 children expected to take part, supported by numerous volunteers and the Croatian Mountain Rescue Service – Split Station.

Through a variety of workshops, games and activities, children will learn the basics of mountaineering, spending time in nature and mountain safety. The programme includes workshops on climbing, caving, trail marking, plants, knots, orientation, tent pitching and first aid, as well as a demonstration of Croatian Mountain Rescue Service activities.

The programme will also feature a variety of outdoor games, a Little Mountaineering Quiz and a presentation titled “Amphibians and Reptiles of Mosor” by Prof. Stipe Mekinić.

The camp offers children an opportunity to learn through experience, spend time outdoors, develop teamwork skills and make new friends, while fostering a love and responsible attitude towards nature.
