Radoslav Putar Award – Finalists’ Exhibition and Award Ceremony

The finalists’ exhibition and the official ceremony of the Radoslav Putar Award, the most important recognition for young visual artists in Croatia, is being held for the 25th consecutive year. This year’s edition is taking place in Split for the seventh time, at Salon Galić, in partnership between the Institute for Contemporary Art from Zagreb and the Croatian Association of Visual Artists – Split.
The opening programme of this year’s Radoslav Putar Award finalists’ exhibition begins on Friday, June 12 at 8:00 PM at Salon Galić. The announcement of the winner and the award ceremony are scheduled for 8:30 PM.
The Radoslav Putar Award was established in 2002 by the Institute for Contemporary Art in Zagreb, together with its international partners. It is presented as part of the international YVAA – Young Visual Artists Awards network, which brings together organizers of similar awards in 12 European countries.
This year, the Radoslav Putar Award is being presented for the 25th time to a Croatian visual artist under the age of 40, in collaboration between the Institute for Contemporary Art in Zagreb, the Croatian Association of Visual Artists – Split, and Gallery S from Koprivnica.
The award includes a two-month residency at Residency Unlimited in New York, a solo exhibition at the Institute for Contemporary Art in Zagreb, the production of a multiple original work in collaboration with Gallery S in Koprivnica, and a position on the jury of the Radoslav Putar Award in the following year.
