As part of the summer event “Splitski litnji koluri”, the Tourist Board of the City of Split presents a concert by the Cultural and Artistic Society Putalj from Kaštel Sućurac and their guests.

The audience will enjoy Kaštela traditions, songs and dances rooted in the rich musical and dance heritage of the region. Four traditional dances will be performed: 'Rvatsko kolo, Šotić, Monfrina and Špic polka, accompanied by the mandolin orchestra.

The program will also take us to Jezera on the island of Murter, with lively circle and pair dances once performed at weddings and festive occasions, and to Zlarin, an island with a strong vocal and dance tradition. A highlight of the evening will be the old Split dances, one of the most renowned works of Croatian ethnochoreology.

Alongside the dance ensemble, the women’s vocal group “Kaštelanke” will perform songs from Dalmatia, Slavonia and Međimurje, while special attention will be given to the tradition of the Molise Croats in Italy.

The concert concludes with a musical journey to northern Croatia through the choreography “Međimurje, kak si lepo zeleno” (Međimurje, How Beautifully Green You Are).
