In the first part of 2026, Split becomes an international hub of musical excellence. The Split International Music Competition (SIMC) has a clear vision: to provide young, talented musicians with a professional platform that goes beyond competition alone and opens the door to an international career.

From February 25 to March 4, 2026, SIMC brings together four top-level international competitions: piano, cello, saxophone, and guitar. Each discipline is designed with a special emphasis on artistic freedom, high interpretative standards, and direct contact with distinguished musical authorities.

SIMC encourages performers to present their own artistic voice. The programs are carefully balanced between free repertoire choice and clearly defined requirements that ensure stylistic diversity, technical maturity, and a profound understanding of music. Special attention is given to Croatian composers, through which the competition actively promotes contemporary national musical production in an international context.

Each discipline is evaluated by an international jury composed of distinguished concert artists and professors with extensive pedagogical and performance experience. Strict ethical rules guarantee transparency, impartiality, and professionalism throughout the entire competition.

All competitions take place in Split, at the Ivo Tijardović Concert Hall.
