The International Festival of Documentary Films on Archaeology, Cultural and Historical Heritage, Monument Conservation and Anthropology – MFAF was first held in 2010. This biennial festival was launched with the aim of presenting cultural heritage and archaeological themes within the context of European and world heritage, while also fostering greater public awareness and appreciation of our own cultural heritage.

During the three-day Festival (October 26–28), the spaces of Diocletian's Palace will be transformed into a stage for the screening of more than 26 extraordinary films, as well as workshops and lectures that will take us on an interdisciplinary and transmedia journey.
