Organised by Cirkus Kolektiv, contemporary circus and outdoor arts return to the streets of Split, as Split Calling becomes a three-day gathering of artists, audiences, passers-by and everyone who wants to experience Split from a slightly different perspective.

Over three days, the festival will feature contemporary circus, juggling, physical theatre, dance and clowning. And the festival is not just about watching. There will also be workshops for those who want to get involved, as well as a film evening dedicated to circus.

The programme brings together artists from Croatia, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Austria and Germany, connected by an interest in community, collaboration, cultural heritage and the local elements we often begin to notice only when they are disappearing. That is why we continue to choose Split’s streets, squares, passageways and unexpected encounters as our stages.

As is tradition, the festival will close with a party at Stari Pazar, featuring our resident DJ and a screen-printing workshop. All festival performances are free of charge.

Come to watch, take part, wander, stop for a while, meet someone or simply stumble upon a performance around the corner.
