Part of a series of works that considers fate as a score, In the Favor of the Miracle or the Misfortune of Eternity begins with an everyday surface removed from the functional, symbolic, and economic space, from the strictly controlled infrastructure of the ordinary, and from its transactional, productive, and reproductive environment.

The work consists of a fragment of the floor from the former printing house of the National Bank of Belgium, where the euro was printed until production ceased in 2020, and, before the introduction of the euro, the Belgian franc.
