Date & Time: Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 12:00 PM (noon)

Location: Archaeological Museum in Split (Ul. Zrinsko Frankopanska 25, 21000, Split)

To mark International Archaeology Day, the Archaeological Museum in Split is hosting a discussion on creative approaches to developing new audiences in museums and culture.

The focus will be on the children’s publication “My Medusa – A Guide for Young Explorers”, created to accompany the exhibition Medusa’s Gaze. The publication encourages children to actively explore cultural heritage through drawing, writing, puzzles and storytelling.

The discussion will feature the publication’s authors, Luka Donadini, museum educator, and Dr Jelena Jovanović, museum adviser at the Split Archaeological Museum, together with special guest Katarina Ivanišin, museum education adviser at the Dubrovnik Museum of Modern Art and an academic painter.

The event offers an opportunity to exchange experiences and ideas on how to spark children’s curiosity, bring cultural heritage closer to younger generations and encourage future generations to engage with museums and cultural activities.
