Exhibition Opening: “Duvno Field – The Royal Throne: A Contemporary Interpretation of the Legend of the Coronation of King Tomislav”

 

The Association for the Preservation and Promotion of Traditional Culture in Bosnia and Herzegovina Stećak, the Croatian Heritage Foundation – Split Branch, the University of Split, and the Split Chapter of Matica hrvatska invite you to the opening of the exhibition “Duvno Field – The Royal Throne: A Contemporary Interpretation of the Legend of the Coronation of King Tomislav”, to be held on Thursday, November 6, at 7:30 p.m. at the University Gallery, Ruđera Boškovića 31, Split.

 

The exhibition offers visitors a unique insight into the historical significance and symbolism of King Tomislav through a contemporary artistic interpretation.

 

The exhibition is organized to mark the 1100th anniversary of the Croatian Kingdom, under the patronage of the Central State Office for Croats Abroad, Split-Dalmatia County, Herzeg-Bosnia County, and the Municipality of Tomislavgrad.

 

It features designed and crafted royal insignia and garments, works by contemporary painters inspired by the landscape of Duvno Field and its surroundings, and artistic photographs depicting the coronation scene.
