14th SUMMER MAGIC OF CLASSICAL MUSIC
Location: Cellars of Diocletian’s Palace, cloister of the Church and Monastery of St. Francis, Gallery of Fine Arts, and the area in front of the Old City Hall
Date: June 26 – September 26, 2025
The 14th edition of the festival brings a rich program at four locations. Summer Charms of Classical Music is a long-standing summer festival of the Split Music Youth that has gradually grown into an important cultural event in the city of Split. The festival’s goal is to enrich the concert and cultural offer of the city of Split during the summer months and to provide citizens and their guests with outstanding musical experiences in atmospheric venues in the heart of the city.
As in previous years, this year’s 14th edition conceptually continues the primary focus – collaboration with young musicians. In addition, the festival fosters international cultural cooperation and this year features artists from Australia and Switzerland.
The festival begins on June 26 and runs until September 26, featuring thirteen concerts at four locations: the Cellars of Diocletian’s Palace, the cloister of the Church and Monastery of St. Francis, the Gallery of Fine Arts, and the area in front of the Old City Hall. Top artists from abroad, as well as musicians from the city of Split, will perform for both local and international visitors. In this way, local young and talented musicians gain a unique opportunity to showcase their art in their own city.
The festival would not exist without the cooperation of the Split Music Youth, the main sponsor the Split City Tourist Board, and the hosts in the beautiful premises of the Museum of the City of Split. Additionally, the festival’s organization, as well as the year-round activities of the Split Music Youth, are supported by the City of Split and the Split-Dalmatia County. There is also a long-standing cooperation with the Croatian National Theatre in Split, which, within the framework of the Split Summer Festival, provides the winning concert to the candidate who takes first place in the Cycle of Young Musicians “mo. Vinko Lesić.”
