The Zvjezdano Selo Mosor association is once again participating in the "Night of Museums" initiative, marking its fourteenth consecutive year. The program will take place at the observatory on Mosor and will feature the following schedule:
6:15 PM – 6:45 PM
Exhibition: "Model Making in Split and the Basics of Model Making"
Presented by Mihael Golubić, Igor Šušmelj, Davor Filaković, and Edo Modun, members of Split’s model-making clubs "Danijel Vuković" and "Reoplan."
6:45 PM – 7:15 PM
Presentation of the illustrated book "RazlistAJMO grad!" by Vesna Jukić-Oštrek, librarian of the Marko Marulić City Library in Split. The book features illustrations by children from DV Radost/PO Popaj kindergarten and Dona Tomić.
7:15 PM – 7:30 PM
Musical performance by the children’s vocal ensemble "More" from Visoka Primary School.
7:30 PM – 7:45 PM
Screening of the short film "Šimin Dnevnik (Šime's diary)" produced by the film group from Srinjine Primary School.
8:00 PM – 8:45 PM
Astronomical observation of the night sky from the terrace of the Zvjezdano Selo Mosor observatory (weather permitting), led by ZSM astronomer-animator Zoran Knez.
9:00 PM – 9:30 PM
Stage performance by students from Kman-Kocunar Primary School: "The Third Stories of Big and Small Museums - What’s Essential Is Invisible to the Eye."
9:30 PM – 10:00 PM
Literary performances by Sara Tvrdić, Tea Radić, and Marica Grgurinović.
10:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Musical performance by the mixed vocal ensemble "Šuferini."
10:30 PM – 11:30 PM
Science lecture: "It’s Better Together: Discovering Binary Star Systems Through the Eyes of the Gaia Spacecraft," presented by astrophysicist Dr. Lana Ceraj.
11:30 PM – 1:00 AM
Astronomical observation of the night sky from the terrace of the Zvjezdano Selo Mosor observatory (weather permitting), led by ZSM astronomer-animator Zoran Knez.
FREE BUS TRANSPORTATION
Thanks to the City of Split and Promet d.o.o., free bus transportation is available for all visitors. To ensure a smooth experience and avoid overcrowding, transportation has been organized as follows.
DEPARTURE:
- Two buses will depart from Sukoišanska Street at 5:00 PM, returning from Zvjezdano Selo Mosor at 9:30 PM.
- Two buses will depart at 7:00 PM, returning at 12:30 AM.
Important:
- Visitors traveling to the observatory on the 5:00 PM buses must return at 9:30 PM.
- Visitors traveling on the 7:00 PM buses must return at 12:30 AM.
Each bus has a maximum capacity of 50 passengers.
To secure your seat, please register as soon as possible by emailing info@zvjezdano-selo.hr. Include the following details in your message: your full name, preferred departure time from Sukoišanska Street, and the number of people you are registering for transport to and from the observatory.
