In September 2027, Split will host the European Judo Hopes Cup, an international judo competition included in the official calendar of the European Judo Union for the U14 and U16 age categories.

The tournament is expected to bring together around 550 young judokas from 24 countries, along with coaches, referees and official delegations, bringing more than 1,000 participants and accompanying visitors from across Europe to Split.

Alongside the competition, the event will feature an international technical seminar with experts from Japan’s Kodokan Institute, as well as additional programmes for schools, judo clubs and children with disabilities.

The European Judo Hopes Cup will once again combine high-level sport, international cooperation and youth development, further establishing Split as an attractive destination for international sporting events.
