The second edition of Casta Diva Spalato 2026, an international opera competition for young singers, will take place from 23 to 25 September 2026 at the Ivo Tijardović Concert Hall at the Croatian Home Split. The competition brings together promising opera singers from various countries, offering them an opportunity to present their artistic and vocal abilities to an international professional jury in one of Croatia’s most prestigious concert halls.

This year, Casta Diva Spalato has become part of the Split International Music Competition – SIMC, a new international competition platform encompassing five musical disciplines. In addition to opera singing, competitions in piano, saxophone, cello, and guitar will be held in Split in January 2027. Candidates born after 1 January 1991 are eligible to apply for Casta Diva Spalato 2026. Each candidate is required to prepare five opera arias from the Romantic period.

The number of participants is limited, and applications must be submitted no later than 10 September 2026. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.
