SEVDAH IN JAZZ INTERPRETATION BY VESNA PISAROVIĆ: THE ALBUM "PORAVNA" LIVE

Location: Beton Kino, Dom mladih Split (Ulica slobode 28)

Time: May 15, 2026 at 9 PM

On May 15, Vesna Pisarović will perform at Beton Kino in Dom mladih, presenting her album Poravna, her first musical project dedicated to reinterpreting Bosnian sevdalinka through a contemporary jazz approach.

On the album, sevdalinka appears in a different form – what Pisarović calls “poravna songs”: long and slow songs that unfold through improvisation and open musical structures. Traditional melodies enter into dialogue with jazz and free improvisation, creating a new interpretative space for sevdah.

The album was recorded during two studio sessions in Berlin with musicians from the international jazz scene. At the concert, Vesna Pisarović will be joined by Tony Buck on drums and percussion and Noël Akchoté on guitar.

The concert will take place in the intimate setting of Beton Kino with a limited number of seats.

Tickets are available via Adriaticket. Tickets at the door before the concert will be available only if seats remain.
