March at Dom mladih: dance, Pričigin storytelling festival, contemporary circus, radio marathon and more

 

T

hroughout March, Dom mladih Split once again confirms its role as one of the city’s key independent cultural hubs. The monthly programme brings together dance, education, contemporary circus, film, exhibitions, radio events and storytelling, offering activities for audiences of all generations.

 

"The One Youth" youth centre programme provides daily creative activities for children and young people aged 7–18, including workshops in illustration, design, animation, media, entrepreneurship and programming.

 

Sundays are dedicated to movement and rhythm, with the Style Force collective hosting free social dance workshops in the Blue Hall led by Tome Mutarello OmaThe Small School of Contemporary Dance, organised by Tiramola Dance Association, continues its educational and performance programme exploring contemporary movement, opening its spring cycle with Maša Kolar’s workshop “Control of Intention” (March 13–15).

 

Skateboard club KOLO is open every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 5–9 PM.

 

Cirkus Kolektiv presents an Aerial Silk Workshop for Beginners (March 7–8) and the performance “Kinektanje” by Danijela Zajc on March 21, combining aerial acrobatics and technology.

 

The film programme is led by Kino klub Split with Basic Filming Workshops (March 6–8) and Editing Workshops (March 23–27). Permaculture Dalmatia hosts two sustainability lectures at the Marko Marulić City Library: “How to Preserve What You Grow in Your Garden?” (March 12) and “Inclusion Through Gardening and Social Entrepreneurship” (March 17).

 

The queer educational programme continues through the queerANarchive collective and the Queer School, featuring the module “Body and Health” on March 14.

 

From March 17–20, Dom mladih hosts Pričigin, the renowned storytelling festival and one of Split’s most recognizable cultural events.

 

The exhibition programme at the Kocka Club Gallery includes “PRESENCE, UNKNOWN: PHASE IV” (March 13–20) and “Bones” by Šimun Bućan (March 26 – April 2), part of the NMG@PRAKTIKA programme.

 

The month concludes with the KLFM Radio Marathon and Open Day on March 21 at the Media Centre, transforming the space into a live open radio studio.
