Instead of souvenirs, offer a story – book&zvook launches a new collection of English-language audiobooks: LISTEN TO CROATIA

Listen to Croatia is a curated collection of high-quality audiobooks by renowned Croatian authors, professionally translated and recorded in English. It is designed for travelers who seek a deeper understanding of the country they are exploring.

By scanning a QR code at selected locations across Croatia, listeners unlock a free story – poetic snapshots of Adriatic islands, voices from Lika, Osijek, Zagreb, war-torn Sarajevo, and everyday life in post-socialist Croatia.

The collection brings together prominent contemporary Croatian writers whose works cover themes ranging from war memories and family secrets to feminism, youth culture, and identity. These audiobooks feature poetic meditations from the coast, philosophical journeys through Europe, powerful narratives from the regions, and ironic takes on modern life – from Krleža and Predrag Matvejević to Maša Kolanović, Damir Karakaš, Robert Perišić, Olja Savičević Ivančević, and others.

Developed in collaboration with the book&zvook platform, the project gained international recognition at the 2025 London Book Fair as an innovative contribution to cultural tourism.
