Schola Cantorum Split and the Arts Academy in Split are proud to invite you to the third evening of the 9th International SING(in)SPLIT Song Festival, taking place this Saturday, 19 September, at 8 PM.

This renowned music event brings together outstanding klapa ensembles, choirs and conductors from Croatia and abroad, offering unforgettable musical evenings for all lovers of vocal music.

The first edition of the Festival was held in June 2018, when both performers and audiences confirmed that there was a strong place in Split for events of this kind. Successful performances continued throughout the years, and this year the Festival celebrates its 9th anniversary. The audience is particularly enthusiastic about its diversity, as for many years the Festival has featured not only klapa and choral performances, but also workshops and educational programmes, offering visitors an opportunity not only to enjoy music, but also to learn more about it.

In 2020, klapa Ventula joined the organisation of the Festival and co-organised the first klapa gathering in Split, known as Spli’ski klaparel. The event grew out of the Festival’s Traditional Song Evening and demonstrated that Split wants and is able to have its own klapa gathering.

Klapa Ventula were also the winners of last year’s Festival of Dalmatian Klapas in Omiš. The members of the ensemble generously, enthusiastically and voluntarily contribute to the extensive organisation of the klapa evening, with the aim of bringing klapa ensembles together in the city beneath Marjan, rather than only in the neighbouring towns.

This year’s Spli’ski klaparel will take place on Saturday, 19 September, at 8 PM at Croatian House Split. The audience will have the opportunity to enjoy performances by seven klapa ensembles:

Kampaneli (mixed) – Donja Kaštela

Armorin (women) – Zagreb

Dežgracija (mixed) – Split

Stivanja (women) – Trogir

Filip Dević (men) – Split
