The City of Split will commemorate Victory and Homeland Thanksgiving Day, Croatian Veterans Day, and the 31st anniversary of Operation Storm with a special two-day programme taking place on 4 and 5 August 2026.

The programme begins on 4 August with a wreath-laying ceremony and the placing of flowers in tribute to fallen Croatian veterans, followed by a thanksgiving Mass at the Church of Our Lady of Health. In the evening, a ceremonial parade of Croatian veterans carrying wartime flags will proceed through the city streets, accompanied by the HGD "Stjepan Radić" Brass Band and the Split Majorettes.

The central celebration will take place on the Riva Promenade, featuring an evening concert by the "With Love for the Homeland" Revue Orchestra. On 5 August, the commemoration will conclude with a concert by Prljavo kazalište on the Riva, followed by a fireworks display launched from St. Nicholas Pier.

The two-day programme honours Croatian veterans and marks one of the most significant dates in Croatia's modern history.
