Location: Peta Peruna by the Žrnovnica River

The Žrvanj Association is organising a full-day event “Plonke na Peti Peruna – Heritage in Stone”, dedicated to tradition, stone craftsmanship, and an almost forgotten folk game that once brought entire communities together.

The main part of the programme is a competition in the traditional game “na plonke” (also known as pljočkanje), an old Dalmatian stone-throwing game. Players throw flat stones from a designated distance towards a larger stone placed as a target, and the winner is the player or team whose stone lands closest to the target. Thanks to its simple rules, precision, and competitive spirit, this game was once a favourite pastime at village gatherings and community events, similar to the popular game of balote (traditional Dalmatian bowls).

In addition to the plonke tournament, visitors can enjoy creative stone-carving workshops, an art colony, activities for children, local food and refreshments, and a relaxed gathering by the Žrnovnica River. After the competition, the programme continues with an evening celebration accompanied by DJ music.

The event offers a unique opportunity to discover local traditions, enjoy the natural surroundings of the Žrnovnica River, and take part in an experience that combines heritage, creativity, and entertainment for all generations.
