In early 2026, Split becomes an international hub of musical excellence. The Split International Music Competition (SIMC) offers young, talented musicians a professional platform that goes beyond competition, opening doors to international careers.

From 25 February to 4 March 2026, SIMC hosts four world-class international competitions: piano, cello, saxophone, and guitar. Each discipline emphasizes artistic freedom, high interpretative standards, and interaction with esteemed musical authorities. The programs are carefully balanced between free repertoire choices and clearly defined requirements, with special attention to Croatian composers, actively promoting contemporary national music in an international context.

Simultaneously, as part of SIMC, the Winter Classical Festival, organized by the Croatian Home Split, presents five evenings of exceptional musical experiences at the Ivo Tijardović Concert Hall. The festival features the same group of top performers participating in the competitions, creating a unique synergy between the competitive and concert programs.
