Erasmus Generation Meeting 2026 in Split

Erasmus Generation Meeting 2026 in Split

Location: Sport center Gripe (Osječka 11)

Date: 16–19 April

From 16 to 19 April 2026, Split will host the Erasmus Generation Meeting (EGM), the largest student-organised conference in Europe dedicated to the internationalisation of higher education and the development of student mobility.

The event is organised by volunteers of the Erasmus Student Network Split, and more than 1,300 participants from across Europe and beyond are expected to attend, including students, Erasmus+ alumni, university representatives, student organisations, and local, national and European institutions.

Held under the slogan “Port of Mobility – Gateway to Skills”, the conference focuses on the development of skills through student mobility. The programme includes lectures, panel discussions, workshops and an EXPO exhibition, where institutions and organisations will have the opportunity to present their work to young people interested in international mobility, education and skills development.

The official opening ceremony will take place in the main hall of the Gripe Sports Centre, where representatives of the local authorities, the University, and the Erasmus Student Network will deliver opening remarks. The programme on Friday and Saturday begins with a morning plenary session in the same venue, while Sunday will feature the awards ceremony and the announcement of the new Erasmus Destination of the Year.

A special part of the programme will be the already mentioned EGM Expo, which will be open to the public. Students and high school pupils will have the opportunity to learn first-hand about Erasmus+ study and mobility opportunities abroad.

To ensure the event runs smoothly, in addition to volunteers from Croatia, volunteers from 10 other countries will also come to Split for the EGM, bringing the total number to 150 young volunteers who will provide support both shortly before and during the conference.

By hosting this event, Split further strengthens its position as a city of youth, international cooperation and academic mobility, bringing together students and professionals from across Europe.
