Sea & Flavours festival - event program

Date: September 20 – November 15 

The Time of sea and food (Vrime mora i spize) event will, for the first time this autumn, enrich Split’s waterfront and aquatorium with a unique blend of the sea, sails, and Dalmatian flavors. From September 20 to November 15, a series of events will celebrate Dalmatia’s maritime and gastronomic heritage through regattas, culinary programs, and entertainment for all generations. As part of the event, the Split Sailing Festival will also take place, a tradition that gathers sailors of different generations and backgrounds. This year, the festival spans five weekends, offering a rich program of regattas and accompanying events, including renowned competitions such as the Labud Classic Regatta, the Mrduja Regatta, and the Vis Regatta. Split’s aquatorium will once again become a grand stage of sailing, socializing, and Mediterranean cuisine. 

Program:

September 20 – 30

• Split – Bobovišća na moru - Split: 27th LABUD CLASSIC REGATTA – a regatta of sea oldtimers. The event promotes sailing and maritime heritage by gathering classic sailing yachts over 30 years old. This also marks the opening of the Split Sailing Festival.
• Labud Sailing Club: Opening of a PHOTO EXHIBITION DEDICATED TO THE SEA, organized by the magazine Otvoreno more

September 26 – 28

• Split - Mrduja: BORIS VUJNOVIĆ MEMORIAL – Mrduja Optimist Cup, bringing the magic of sailing to the youngest. Around one hundred Optimist class dinghies will compete in Split, where young sailors showcase their skills and gain valuable experience. This regatta, also known as “Little Mrduja,” is a qualifying competition for the South region and an important step toward joining the Optimist national team.

September 29 - October 1

• West Coast: 2nd CROYA CHARTER SHOW – a business fair presenting the most prestigious yachts available for charter in Croatia. About 50 luxury yachts (20–55 m) will be on display, with around 200 international charter agents attending.

October 2– 5

• 94th MRDUJA REGATTA and accompanying events:

October 2 

• Labud Sailing Club: 15:00 – SAILORS’ DALMATIAN BRUNCH competition
• West Coast: 18:00 – Opening of Mrduja RHYTHM & SAILS EXPO EVENT
• West Coast: 20:00 – Concert by MJESNI ODBOR – free entry

October 3

• West Coast: 18:00 – Second day of RHYTHM & SAILS EXPO EVENT with animation programs, prize draws, 
• West Coast: 20:00 - concert by rock-blues band LITTLE SISTER – free entry

October 4 

• Split – Mrduja – Split: 11:00 – Start of the 94th MRDUJA REGATTA, the oldest and largest regatta on the Croatian Adriatic, gathering around 200 boats and 1,500 sailor
• Labud Sailing Club: 15:00 – COOKING SHOW for regatta sailors by ŠKMER chefs
• Labud Sailing Club: 18:00 – Concert by rock band CORTEZ – free entry
• West Coast: 18:00 – Third day of RHYTHM & SAILS EXPO EVENT with animation and prizes
• West Coast: 20:00 – AWARDS CEREMONY for winning crews of the 94th Mrduja Regatta
• West Coast: 21:30 – AWARDS CEREMONY, and concert by GUSTAFI – free entry

October 5 

• West Coast: 11:00–13:00 – Final day of RHYTHM & SAILS EXPO EVENT  with animation programs, prize draws, and performance by DJ VICE SAX – free entry

October 9 – 10

• Riva coast and Villa Dalmacija: 9.10 - NXT FORUM 
• Riva coast and Split aquatorium: 10.10. - STARTUP EUROPE REGATTA

October 11 – 12

• Split – Stomorska – Split: ŠOLTA REGATTA

October 17–19

• Split – Vis – Split: VIŠKA REGATTA – the most prestigious offshore regatta on the Croatian Adriatic , gathering 150 boats and over 1,000 sailors annually.

October 19 

• West Coast: 21:00 – AWARDS CEREMONY and rock concert (band TBA)
• West Coast: 21:00 – VALCER POD JEDRIMA (Waltz under sails), an audiovisual performance, marking the close of sailing events and the beginning of the multi-week gastronomic festival Štorija o spizi 

October 23 – 24

• Panel discussions and workshops, opening of the 4th MONTH OF GASTRONOMY IN SPLIT

November 3 – 15
