SMOTRA XV

SMOTRA XV

Location: Kino Klub Split, Youth Centre Split /Dom mladih Split (Ulica slobode 28)

Dates: June 6–7, 2026

On Saturday and Sunday, June 6 and 7, 2026, as a prelude to this year's independent culture festival Platformat, the fifteenth edition of Smotra will take place. Organized by Kino Klub Split, the program presents an overview of the club’s recent productions.

The event will showcase films produced, co-produced, or developed through various forms of collaboration with the club. This year’s edition also features a curated selection of works from the club’s archive, exploring themes of labour, workers’ rights, the female body, migration, and social pressures.

The films were selected by Petra Pavlović and Leo Zorić, students of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Split, as part of their professional internship. They will present the program on June 6 at 7:00 PM in the screening hall of Kino Klub Split.

As in previous years, the recent production program presents all audiovisual works on an equal footing, featuring films by both emerging and experienced filmmakers. Some were created under amateur production conditions, while others were realized through professional productions, co-productions, or workshops.

The films can be viewed on June 7 at Beton Kino in three screening blocks beginning at 6:00 PM, 7:30 PM, and 9:00 PM. This year’s selection primarily consists of fiction and documentary films. A special highlight of the program is Južina by Ante Marin.
