INTERAKTIVNA JAVNA IZLOŽBA: "GLAZBA KAO IZVOR ISTRAŽIVANJA" - u sklopu projekta "Science come to Town"

Location: Diocletian’s Cellars

Date: 20 - 24 January, 2026

As part of the ceremonial opening of the European project Science Comes to Town, led by the cities of Kiel, Brest, and Split, an interactive public exhibition will be held from 20 to 24 January 2026 in the Diocletian’s Cellars. The exhibition aims to connect science with everyday life through workshops, demonstrations, and discussions, while also announcing the activities that will be carried out within the project throughout 2026.

On Friday, 23 January, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., students and alumni of the music departments of the Arts Academy in Split will conduct interactive workshops for children and young people under the overarching theme “Music as a Source of Research.” Designed under the mentorship of Assoc. Prof. Art. Katja Repušić and Assist. Prof. Dr. Jelica Valjalo Kaporelo, the activities focus on popularizing music education and research through listening, movement, play, digital tools, and collective music-making.

The program was developed as part of the institutional research project “UMAS Incubator: Artistic Research in the Focus of the Community (UMAS-In), IP-UNIST-58” implemented at the Arts Academy in Split from 1 October 2025 to 30 September 2029, and funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU.
