The County Association of the Blind Split invites citizens to join in marking the International White Cane Day. The event aims to raise public awareness about the lives and challenges of people with visual impairments through a series of educational and interactive activities.

Visitors will have the opportunity to try simulation glasses that replicate various types and degrees of visual impairment and experience walking through a special course designed for this purpose. The association’s stand will feature everyday aids used by blind persons and sports equipment, such as sound balls and running bands. A special surprise also awaits participants, along with informational leaflets on how to assist blind persons.

By taking part in this event, citizens help build a community that respects and embraces diversity and supports the inclusion and empowerment of people with visual impairments.
