2nd NORDIC WALKING AND HIKING FESTIVAL 2024



Join us for the second edition of the 2nd NORDIC WALKING AND HIKING FESTIVAL 2024. The festival is organized by the Nordic Walking Club SPLIT.

Location: Marjan Forest Park - CHILDREN'S TOWN

Date: March 22-23, 2024

 

Participants of all ages are welcome: preschool age, school age, youth, middle age, retirees, and people with disabilities.

Disciplines: Walking, Nordic walking, and hiking
 

PROGRAM:

Friday, March 22, 2024

- Walk through the PALACE / Walk through the SALON

- 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM: Historical walk lasting 90 - 120 minutes with a guide, Organized transportation to the SALON
 

Saturday, March 23, 2024

- 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM: Participants' gathering, Pick up START PACKAGES, Blood pressure and blood sugar measurement

- 9:30 AM: Festival Opening, Cultural and Artistic Performances

- 9:45 AM: Joint warm-up led by a professional physiotherapist

- 9:55 AM: Joint photography, grouping for ROUTES 5+, ROUTES 7+, ROUTES 9+, with leaders and guides

- 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM: START and FINISH – Children's town, ZOO

- 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM: LUNCH / Restaurant INDEX

Organized transportation to the Children's town for those with limited mobility and people with disabilities

EASY Route 5+_VIEW OF THE ISLANDS

Children's Town - Saddle - Church of Our Lady of Bethlehem - Church of St. Jerome - Saddle - Children's Town

Easy trail, 5 km, 1.5 hours of walking with a break

 

MODERATELY DEMANDING Route 7+_VIEW THROUGH THE FOREST

Children's Town - Saddle - Lubinski Harbor - Bene Bay - Firefighter's Path - Babe Marta's Path - Saddle - Church of Our Lady of Bethlehem - Church of St. Jerome - Under Kosom - Church of St. Nicholas - Children's Town

Moderately demanding trail, 8 km, 2.5 hours of walking with a break

 

CHALLENGING Route 9+_VIEW FROM THE TOP

Children's town - Telegraph Peak - Giromettina Trail - Saddle - Forest Path - Lubinski Harbor - Bene Bay - Forest Path - Firefighter's Path - Forest Path - Serpentine - Church of St. Jerome - Church of Our Lady of Bethlehem - Observatory - Saddle - Marangunić Promenade - Church of St. Nicholas - Children's town

Challenging trail, 10 km, 4 hours of walking with two breaks

 

FESTIVAL OBJECTIVES:

1. Promoting a healthy lifestyle through Nordic walking.

2. Building a sense of community among participants and the local community.

3. Encouraging love for nature and open spaces.
