EXHIBITION: PROTECTION AND CONSERVATION OF EUROPEAN SEA TURTLES

The Natural History Museum of Split (Poljana kneza Trpimira 3, 21000 Split) hosts a moving exhibition of the Croatian Museum of Natural History "Protection and Conservation of European Sea Turtles".

The exhibit opens on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, starting at noon.

The exhibition is part of the museum's European project on the research and protection of sea turtles: "Joint actions to improve the status of protection and conservation of European turtle populations - Life Euroturtles".

The exhibition with 14 panels measuring 80x210 cm and stuffed original sea turtles from the holdings of the Natural History Museum informs visitors about the biology and ecology of Mediterranean species, introducing them to the life of these quiet sailors with interesting stories. In addition, the exhibition shows what and how to do if we spot a sea turtle in the sea or find it somewhere on the shore, who to contact and how we can altogether help protect them. Educational and entertaining materials about sea turtles are available to children and young people, along with creative workshops.
