EXHIBITION: STORIA DALMATINA

The exhibition opens on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at 8:00 p.m. in the gallery Studio-21- (Velebitska 66, 21000 Split) and will be on view until January 15, 2022.

"Juliana's spontaneity and creative idea delights. The ease with which she moves from one medium to another, questioning the limits and possibilities, has become the backbone of her work. Following this, a series of portraits called Storia Dalmatina was created. This history or story is told through portraits of famous Dalmatians. These are artists from the fields of film, literature, and music. Among them are Arsen Dedić, Boris and Dino Dvornik, Zdravka Krstulović, Ivica Vidović, Tereza, Oliver, Ena Begović, Mišo Kovač and Vesna Parun. With this exhibition, Juliana in her way pays tribute to this region from which she originated and to his greats, who each left their mark on her in their way. In the conversation, the author reveals how much music and film have always meant to her and how these portraits are a long-standing wish that has finally been realized. The somewhat archaic title is a reminder of another time that is behind us, which awakens nostalgia and evokes memories." (Danijela Pavlinović, from the foreword)
