EUROPEAN DAY OF JEWISH CULTURE - OPEN DAY OF THE JEWISH COMMUNITY OF SPLIT

Program of the Open Day of the Jewish Community of Split in cooperation with the Split City Museum.
 
10:00 am - 06:00 pm
Visit the synagogue that has been there since the 16th century and the permanent exhibition on the Jews in Split. Listen to the story of their community.
 
10:30 am
Exhibition opening of the National Library of Israel entitled Dialogue, the theme of this year's European Days of Jewish Culture.
 
11:30 am
Concert of Jewish music in the Gothic Hall of the Split City Museum. The works of Bloch, Offenbach, Kaufmann, Engel, Moszkowski and Achron are performed by Sandra Belić (cello) and Ljiljana Vukelja (piano).
 
05:00 pm
The tour of sites significant for the almost two-millennium history of Jews in the city of Split begins in front of the Jewish community with a tour of the former Jewish ghetto and ends at the site of the first synagogue in the eastern halls of the Cellars of Diocletian's Palace.
 
The Split City Museum provides free admission to all its premises for participants in this program.
