Location: Salon Galić Gallery (Marmontova 3, 21000 Split)
Exhibition "Rhymes of the White Crow: the Epilogue" by multimedia artist Andrea Resner from Split. The exhibition organized by HULU-Split opens in Salon Galić Gallery on Thursday, July 29 at 08:00 p.m. and is on until August 15. Admission is free.
Through a multimedia approach, Andrea Resner deals with the narratives of dreams, trauma, and women, with an emphasis on poetics and aesthetics as the means of expression. She works in the fields of experimental film and animation, photography, drawings, spatial installations, street art, and poetry. She had dozens of solo and group exhibitions, two films, and other projects such as poetic multimedia workshops on identity deconstruction. "Rhymes of the White Crow" is her graduation film and also her first official film. So far, it has been screened at several film festivals in Croatia and around the world, and at the Split Film Festival in 2020, it received the "Ivan Martinac" award for the creative and innovative use of film language.
Expanding the medium of film and coming out of it with this multimedia exhibition, Andrea breaks down the story into elements that include drawings and spatial installations.
The curator of the exhibition is Jasmina Šarić.
